Was give a pair of momentum tw earphones for subscribing to an online newspaper for 12 months. The earphones were fulfilled by Harvey Norman.
Ive had it for a month and have a lot of issues with battery drain. I might get 3-4 hours out of it over a week before both the buds and the charging case are out.
Not very happy as the advertised is much longer.
Do I have any say in warranties and stuff given it was “free”? I mean usually id just request a refund, or even a replacement of equal value. Not sure in this case

"free" only in double air quotes, but technically you didn't get those headphones for free as you would needed to subscribe and enter a legally binding contract with the news company in order to get those headphones.

You might want to update the firmware on the earbuds, as it's likely a firmware bug
