Here we have the hyped up Casioak GA2100-1A which IMO is the best Casioak due to the white indices for legibility. Highly sought after lineup with watches in the US selling for ~$150USD ($99USD MRSP).

Hodinkee article on the Casioak: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/the-casio-g-shock-value-pr…

Also less legible (but more hyped) blacked out GA2100-1A1 version available for ~$242 delivered here. https://wallacebishop.com.au/products/1NGA210A

  • Thanks OP

  • Unfortunately the blacked out one is no longer available

    • Oh shit, sorry guys. I was able to order one right after I posted. Guess I’ll see if the order gets cancelled.

I got the "black out" one and I don't think it's worth the hype. For $250 better off get aemtry level automatic citizen or sieko one for abit more.

    • Completely agree. Maybe it did so just on me, but I thought it looked really quite cheap and had the most uncomfortable band around (hair puller). As much as I wanted to like it, it just didn’t work. If you have a collection then fine, but as a daily driver, I’d save a bit more for a Seiko or go a different G-Shock.

Yeah completely agree with everything you said. The band is very very uncomfortable I find.

        • Funnily enough out of all my watches, it's actually the most comfortable only wrist. I don't even feel it's on sometimes.

          • @nomoneynoproblems: Glad to hear it works for you. It’s obviously rated highly so I’m in a minority I think. Enjoy it.

@The Almighty Dollar: I do get people here who say that the $250 titanium sapphire auto is much better value but the GA2100 is the internet hotness.

People who arent into watches are buying it because its on instagram and shit…

              • @tonyjzx: Thats it. Can you get better value else where? Absolutely. But its not all about the spec sheet. For whatever reason it took me a while to realise that sometimes the best watch is the one that you like, not what brand x can offer at the same price. In saying that, the Casio hit this out of the ball park. it's not too big so to look ridiculous. It blends street and function together really well (except for the stealth version, can't see shit after dark)

              • @tonyjzx: Can you post a link or give me the model no for the '$250 titanium sapphire auto'? Would like to take a look myself but can't seem to find it.

    • Any links?

I have this watch in the stealth version in my collection and I love it. Definitely a watch to have in your collection and good price.

  • Good find op!

  • Thanks OP. Well spotted. Bought one.

  • Was about to purchase but sold out. Looks like it's been ozbargained.

  • I was super keen on this when it was released until I saw one in person. I find the dial too sparse as if the proportions are out of wack.

  • Why is there a whole dial dedicated to telling you what day it is? Does that dial have any other purpose?
