Looks like a great price. It's for both seasons together - so that's $9.50 per season.

Other blu-ray specials include:

  • Mad Men seasons 1 & 2 - $16.82 each
  • The Walking Dead season 1 - $23
  • Alien Anthology - $27.58
  • X-Men Quadrilogy - $21.43
  • The Ultimate Bourne Collection - $21.43
  • Spider-Man trilogy - $23.03
  • The Godfather trilogy - $27.58
  • The Mummy trilogy - $21.43
  • Planet Earth - $23 (Special Edition is $26 - based on what I've read about it, you're probably better off paying the extra three dollars)

I do believe that with Zavvi there is a shipping charge of about $1.50. I'm not sure about The Hut.

    great show!

  • Anyone old enough to remember Misfits of Science?

      Unfortunately (due to age), yes.

The second time I saw Courtney Cox on TV (after Family Ties). Always wondered whether Johnny B Good smelt though since he couldn't touch water, and hence wash himself…

    • Yes! Great 80's nostalgia :-)
Interesting fact.. Tim Kring was a writer on The Misfits of Science. Many years later he went on to create a similar show, Heroes.

    • I had such a crush on Courtney Cox's character… at age 10 or whatever I was.

My favourite scene (looks a bit sad 25 years on), in better quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hT5cGnk2DY

the guy we all hate but can't help kinda like….

  • Great show. Looking forward to series 3.

Not sure I'd call The Walking Dead S1 a great deal though… $23 is a bit much considering the season is only six episodes long.

    • I actually agree, though this is the cheapest price I've found for it so far (though granted I haven't had a huge look).

It's still going to be cheaper than what ever price it gets here in Australia, though. Australia sucks with blu-ray and DVD releases. Dollhouse STILL hasn't been released here.

Although you totally just upstaged me, thanks for posting this because I intend to buy some of these sometime in the future. The four deals that are cheaper at Zavvi are also the four that I have the least interest in.

      • Still, not bad a deal, unless you are spending £25 you might as well do the Zavvi/Hut deal.

With free shipping a 20% off for VAT is is always wise to check with Amazon UK. At this stage the free shipping ends on October 31st, but they keep on extending it thus far. Without free shipping other sites will be more competitive again.

  • Great show, I really enjoyed this.
Not a bad deal and so is the one just up there ^ depending on what you want.

  • Spiderman trilogy is like $25 at Jb hifi so not too much of a difference. Wait for the 10/20% off sales and buy cheaper
