Crucial 1 TB 3D NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD Deal - Am I Missing Something?

So i got an alert on Pricehipster for this:
https://www.amazon.com.au/Crucial-NAND-NVMe-PCIe-M-2/dp/B07J…

Under $140 shipped, from a new Chinese seller.
Obviously there's a risk I'll be getting ripped off, but given Amazon's return policy, and Crucials 5 year warranty, seems like a no brainer to me.

What's the worst that could happen?

Comments

  • Just disappointing when you don't get it i guess or it is a fake part. So hardly worth it.

    • There's new sellers popping up on Amazon all the time, they can't all be scammers.
But I guess I'm just an optimist.

      • Just seems very low price…

  • This is the worst that could happen.

    • Sounds painful, but I've never had a problem with Amazon CS, we'll see how it goes.
Worth a gamble for the price imo.
Worst case scenario I'll just do a chargeback.

      • I've had to wait for months before I even got a refund on a scam.
The seller issued a fake tracking number and declared it as sent so I had to wait for the expected delivery date + 36hrs to pass before I could start the refund process.
Imo I would be more concerned about the drive itself

  • Just be patient and wait for a good price sold by Amazon instead of an unproven third party. It was $132 a little over two months ago.
