The 2540M looks like it has the same specifications as the Centre Com one. The reason I think this might be a mistake is that the model numbers on the product page refer to different Lenovo laptops, so if you're planning on purchasing one you should give them a call first. They have a store in Melbourne. I've sent them a message and I'll post an update when I get a reply.

It's a damn good price if it isn't a mistake considering you don't have to wait for the cashback like the Centre Com deal.

      It does look like it may be a mistake, but Centre Com did have these for $699 after cashback, so it isn't that farfetched.

    Product code 1141BYM indicates this is EDGE E420 rather than T420

          I didn't acknowledge that it is not a T420. I simply said that the model number is different so it might be a mistake. Why on Earth would I change the title? I posted this because if it isn't a mistake, then it's a bargain.

          THE MODEL NUMBER ON THE WEBPAGE IS NOT THE T420's, BUT THE LISTING AND THE DESCRIPTION IS. How is that so hard to comprehend? I have already said that it is probably a mistake when I posted the deal. If I changed the deal to an E420, what is the point of me posting it in the first place? I've already marked it as expired because some of you can't get your heads around the notion of me saying that IT MIGHT BE A MISTAKE. Sheesh.

      Didn't notice that! If you click on the link of the 2520M it has a photo of the T420.

    the description seems to be that for T series eg the "Roll Cage". I own an E420 and and can say they only shipped these with ATi/intel switchable graphics so this is possibly a T420. I say good deal.

    Due to the mismatch in product details on cworld.com.au, I have neg'd the deal - not as a personal attack against the OP.

      I'm starting to have doubts myself as the website does list a T420 with the same specs for a higher price. Oh well; if it's too good to be true then it probably isn't.
