Ninebot Kickscooter ES3 $799.99 Delivered /In-Store @ Costco (Paid Membership)

90

Just been to Costco Perth and saw the Ninebot ES3 scooter on sale. Upon searching I found it was available online for the same price delivered.

For some it might be a good deal. I'm still holding on for the previous Ninebot Max deal from JB Hi-Fi to be repeated.

  • Never Heard of ES3 before. Interesting.

ES1 with a larger battery as far as I know.

Don't think they are legal in Perth.

  • If anyone wants more power and speed, the ES4 is $849 delivered

    • Which states are they legal in?

      • Off the top of my head, Queensland.

@jv: I believe as long as you stay below the speed limit, it is fine. It's like the top speed of a Ferrari is illegal on the roads, but you can still drive it as long as you stick to the legal speed limit. Either way, the rules are not rigorously enforced as long as you don't do silly things, at least in Perth where I see many people using them.

              In Vic, it works differently.

We have Dictator Dan at the wheel.

              • @jv: Enough hoons in Victoria… Don't need more people hooning on their escooters.

              • @jv: Max weight allowed is 100kg, cancels you out anyway jv

@FXx: I was going to buy two. One for each leg.

    • How does the ES4 compare with Xaomo Mi Pro 2 ? I know the Pro 2 is more expensive but cost aside ???

      • Pro 2 seems to be minimally different to the Pro .. certainly not worth the current price uplift.

I've said it before - they're not legal here.

Yes people ride them, but a cop could quite easily do you over with a huge number of fines and points.

Is it likely? probably not. But do they have the right to? yes.

What you talking about Willis ?

      The Ninebot ES2 / ES3 / ES4 are 100% legal here.

      • In WA, the maximum legal speed an electric scooter is 10km/hr

This electric scooter has a max speed of 25km/hr

        • Yes, "here" in Queensland they are 100% legal.

You never said you were in WA.. your comment seemed to imply the whole of Australia, which is not entirely true.

fyi this is a es1 with a battery yielding 250watt of power unlike the es2+battery or es4 with 300watts also lacks 'rear' suspension. Imo wait for a amazon deal ($499) again on the es2 and jst get a battery (I got mine for $230 at scooter hut)

Yep. ES4 is a great scooter. Way faster than a 365Pro.

i was driving at nepean highway yesterday night i drive like 75 and there's a man ride electric scooter on tramway at least 80km/h iwas so scared!

    • Ask him what model

    • -1

Why were you scared? Man up.

      • have you ever crossed tram lines on a push bike? On a scooter it would be insane!

        • It’s fine.

  • I bought the Mearth X Pro from Kogan last week while it was on sale at $499,
    300w motor and 25km range.
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/mearth-x-pro-electric-scooter-m…

    • can you buy the Ninebot Kickscooter ES3 and do a comparison between the two and let us know which one is better?

      • One would assume the Mearth is better given its a 300w motor and has a 120kg capacity.
additional battery of the Segway means a better range though but you can purchase an additional battery for the Mearth for $100 more.

I think it comes down to what is more important,
if cost and range are important, the Segway wins
if power and additional weight are important Mearth wins.
