Just got it from TGG, JBHF would price match but no stock and HN wouldn't.

There's the receipt if someone wants to price match. Worth mentioning that I paid cash.

Well, there is a interest involved on card payments so I'd say that cash would be preferable. I don't know to what extent a big company like TGG benefit from taking cash payments, it's usually small business that benefit the most out of it. On saying that, I had 2.4k cash to spend, and I got exactly what I wanted for the money I had.
If I was a sales rep I would assume that someone buying with card could afford to pay a couple hundred up before min price, but someone with a set amount would try to get it for just that or below. I was thanking the sales rep for his time as he wouldn't go down 2.5 then he stopped and went "below the min" price.
Well JB wouldn't price match for me. $2560 plus $59 postage and I'd have to go into the store to make payment. If we went through JB direct for credit card payment it would cost even more.
JB was the 3rd shop I went to, asked to price match 2.5 from another post, then mentioned 2.4 cash and he wanted to shake hands without arguing. The downside was they didn't have stock until September
My JB have stock, I was all set to buy at the above price and cancel my Billy Guyatts order but couldn't pay over the phone or by email invoice for that price. Its already $105 worse than my BG order. Not willing to pay more, not willing to risk a store visit. Ah well, ill just keep waiting.
Did you call your local store? I've read that if you call the JB HiFi sales number you could get some sort of a better result - no idea how true, though.
@BugsBunnyAUS: The hotline couldn't go lower than $2695 as their system for comparing was down so they put me through to my local store. After the sales rep spoke with the manager, $2560 + $59 postage was their best offer. I said yes, but then payment was the issue… in 2020… during a pandemic!?! Lol!
@GenotypeJim: $2475 Delivered from Powerland eBay if it's any help to you. They are a reputable store. Also available on their website for the same price.
@hamza23: Ooh thats a good price, cheers, but I'd only cancel my Billy Guyatts order for an immediate delivery. Powerland is only $39 cheaper than what I got it for.
@hamza23: @hamza23 Not sure how targeted this code is, but I just bought from that Powerland item with a further $200 off (down to $2275). I had to pay extra for delivery, but free for most areas…

Got the 75" Q80T for $3446 after price match from JB Hifi & $450 gift card..I'd say this is as good as End of Year/Christmas Sale for this amazing beauty. Took around 30 minutes of negotiating to get this deal!!!
That sounds awesome! You could get a decent soundbar with that giftcard.
65" was enough for me as I'm going up from a 48"Receipt?
@Bobsam it is on the main post mate!
I meant for the person that got the 75”.
@Jijoycm
Where did you end up buying from and who did you price match against?
Would you be able to post your receipt too please?
Is everyone happy with there Q80t? I been looking for tv and reading so many mixed reviews. I was going to get the Q70t but might as well pay a little extra for the Q80
On specs/reviews only, I would definitely look at springing the extra for the Q80T. I think a lot of the mixed reviews come from comparing this year's models to 2019, again Samsung playing around with model numbers to make things look better price-wise than they are in reality…but the TVs themselves aren't bad at all.
I had a 48" 6-7 year old samsung before, no hdr or anything to it. I'm absolutely loving the q80t.
All the mixed reviews are just missleading. I haven't had any of the issues I've seen on forums. Game mode looks fantastic and playing without game mode performs just as good as game mode. Been able to watch stuff in 4k is a gsme changer.
just out of interest, is cash still a good bargaining chip at retail stores? I didn't think it really mattered these days.
