Where to go to find free wifi during COVID-19?

Hi, just recently fell on hard times and just wondering where I can find free wifi in the eastern suburbs?

    • I think they meant Eastern Suburbs, Melbourne …

Macca's has Free WiFi; I'm sure there'd be one in the Eastern Suburbs in Melbourne …

OP can't sit in a McD "restaurant" any more, 'cos it's takeout only, if he is in Victoria

Time to buy Kogan $4.95 beginner SIMs (switch off auto recharge immediately of course) - that will give you plentiful data from your second sim for $5 / mo

Sit outside. Might be a bit cold. Or hide in the kid's play area.

That won't look dodgy at all.

      • If you can find a maccas near a park, you’re allowed to sit in a park to read a book, so I can’t see why you couldn’t be reading this book on your phone…

Not all of Victoria's McD restaurants are take away only.

Three restaurants close to me still have dine in, although it's limited to a few tables which are well spaced out.

        That must be outside Melbourne.

  • Go to shopping centres or hotels.

  • In front of hotels usually give like a 30 minute visitor access. Food courts typically have wifi too but unsure if they're largely closed where you are? Telstra boxes give me good wifi but I don't know if theres a free version or if you need a telstra login?

  • Go into any Bunnings carpark and use the wifi. No time limits.

    • i think he wants to get free internet not pay for it…

  • Buy a $2 Telstra Sim and you get access to Telstra AIR at every payphone plus a bunch of random other locations

  • Canberra.
