Am in the process of moving and have decided it is time to sell a couple of surplus consoles. I have a 120Gb slim PS3 (CECH-2002A) with 3 controllers (1 new in box), PS Eye, PS3 Remote and a dozen or so games. Any views on what it might be worth would be much appreciated, thanks.
Can be modded infact i think all can be modded now if im not mistaken.
what do you guys mean by modded?
Ps3 can be flashed with a usb stick to play emulators such as Nes,Snes,Mame,C64 the list goes on also pirated ps3,ps1 games also some ps2 games loaded on to a hard drive and more full control of your ps3.

Specifically, and close to yours: $235 inc. shipping… Though I'd sell that third new boxed controller separately unless it's a third-party controller

I'd go the gumtree route to save ebay/paypal fees, but if you list on ebay, list on gumtree first then you'll get to use one of 2 monthly No-Final-Value-Fee once you list the item…
Wow, that's an amazing price in my opinion. Just need to get one of the usual "sell for $1" eBay promos to come up quickly.
I have a 1st gen PS3 with the PS2 backwards compatibility chip. Are they worth any more than a slim these days?
Yes if you can find someone that actually wants it. That demand is drying up now though.
I think around $100-$150 is the going rate. Best check Facebook marketplace.

This is more what I was thinking so good to see that it looks like it's worth at least $100 based on the eBay link above and general views. Don't use Facebook marketplace - might throw it on the OzB classifieds and see how that goes as well……
I wouldn't pay more than $100. Depends what games comes with it. But I'd just mod it and download the games I want to play.
However for the less tech savvy, it seems (on Gumtree anyway) that the more games you have, the higher the price. For example this guy wanting $320 dollarydoos for the PS3, a guitar hero controller (with only LEGO Rockband for it) and 10 games ranging from Monopoly and Just Dance 3, to FIFA 16.
I'd rather get a new PS4.
In January I traded mine into EB for $80, and I think I got around $10 for my second controller.
Games were only worth about 20c a disc so I ended up keeping them.
