Sony X900H pricing predictions?

According to a reddit poster who contacted Sony Australia, the Sony X900H is set to launch in Australia around September. What do you guys think they will price the TV at?

Do you guys think the TV will eventually drop to >$1700? Tossing up between the X900H and the Q80T and if the Sony drops to a good price then its a no brainer for me.

  • Do you guys think the TV will eventually drop to >$1700?

Of course it will - probably when the X1000H (or whatever the next model will be) is about to be released.

  • My guess $1995 for the 55” and $2995 for the 65”.

Should sit smack bang in the middle between the pricing of the 80H and 95H or so.

  • Price is 1950AUD (1400USD) for a 65", wouldn´t that be the dream? Unfortunately I imagine it will be on the 3k mark when it comes out.

Some people at whirlpool did mention a late July release. September is just ages away

  • This is response direct from Sony on the 85”. “The KD-85X9000H will be released by September and the price will be around $6,899.00 AUD.“ Given the Samsung Q80t was $5500 recently I’m not so sure how competitive this will be.

  • +1

I just pulled the trigger on the samsung q80t, while playing the haggle game with major retailers, HN showed me their upcoming price on the 65" x900h at $2669 and $4475 for the 75". They also mention that it's subject to change. Interestingly enough they had it on their system already and were happy to share intel

  • this seems to be the one for me, since i keep seeing q8 banding or motion issues. ill just spend the extra and get a sony coz i keep tv's for a long time

  • It's out!

    55 $1799
    65 $2399
    75 $3499
    85 $5499

    • Is the US model X900H the same as the X9000H in Australia? Are they one and the same?

I'm looking for features such as HDMI 2.1, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and 120 Hz frame rate.

The Good Guys site is full of poetry about the new screens, but mentions nothing about the features I want.

      • It's the same model.
