So your mad that woolies has opted to lower their price for a long period and Coles has chosen to do specials on that product but only for specific weeks.
*You're.
Was that ment to be a question?
I can't answer for why one supermarket chooses to undercut the other on a specific product.
My issue is the framing. Yes this is half Coles' price, but only a $0.25 saving off WW's regular price.
Woolworths have chosen for many years to sell with "Every day low prices" such they use that as a slogan.
That means you don't get deep specials on those products, but can go any time and get them at a fairly good price - and there's a certain sector of the market who want that. Of course, if you're the kind to tactically wait for specials, and then stock up, that's not as great a deal.
It's similar to ALDI as well. They don't run specials (generally), but just regular low prices. Again, if you get the item from Coles or Woolworths on special it's often cheaper than ALDI, but others like to go to ALDI without worrying about when the specials are. Doesn't make one right or wrong, just different approaches to appeal to different people. Then others try to exploit both by grabbing specials from the majors, and buying other things from ALDI, and then there's others who just go for convenience, or points, or other reasons.
If it makes you mad buy it for 25 cents more at Woolworths and then have a whinge when one WWs half price deals is only slightly cheaper than a Coles down down price.
Yeah, I read it as " Special. Save 25c. "
Woolies doesn't have the salt n pepper one though
But they do have Sour Cream & Garden Chives which is a Woolies only flavour.
Half price. What a joke. They are everyday low price $2 @woolies. It infuriates me the tactics the big two use to give the appearance of a saving. Coles are claiming half price while woolies are claiming new low price.
