I've been searching for a new monitor for a few months now and I'm stumped on what to get. My current setup consists of two TN, FHD displays so literally anything is an upgrade at this point. I can purchase the Dell monitor now or should I wait for the Xiaomi one but I don't know its retail price or when it will be available in Aus but I'm guessing soon?
This will be used for mainly 3D modelling, Photoshop and video editing, with some light gaming on the side. Both are IPS, 27", QHD monitors.
Some notable differences:
Dell U2719D
- 60 Hz, refresh rate
- 8 ms (normal); 5 ms (fast), response time
- 99.9% sRGB color gamut, 85% DCI-P3
- 350 cd/m², brightness
- 3-Years warranty from Dell
Total Price: $548
or
Xiaomi
- 165 Hz, refresh rate
- 4 ms (GTG), 1 ms (IMBC), response time
- 95% DCI-P3 color gamut
- 400 cd/m2, brightness
- warranty i don't know
Total Price: TBA
I'm open to any other suggestions. My original budget was $450 but willing to fork out a bit more for longevity and other reasons.
If Photoshop is more important than gaming, then yeah, you're going to want the factory calibrated Dell ultrasharp display.
