Any deal for the Applaws cat food range?

    • Not at the moment sorry, I will let the boss know,

      ~Drew

      • I’ll buy some cat food if you have any good deals

  • Was a good deal till I saw the postage to Perth $27.02

    • Unfortunately our courier doesn't deliver to WA anymore,

So we have to send all WA parcels via Australia Post which is quite expensive once the parcel starts to get heavy

If being sold in supermarkets like Coles and Woolies, this product is then inferior in quality, right?

applaws is one of the very few good ones

    • Applaws isn't like your regular supermarket brands like Supercoat which is made from inferior ingredients,

Applaws has very good reviews and we have only heard good things from previous customers,

      ~Drew

    • Applaws is probably 4 stars out of 5 speaking broadly, in comparison to all pet foods. But definitely much, much better than the usual stuff you get on the supermarket shelves.

  • No free shipping at any value by the looks of it? $10 shipping (pretty much) per bag makes it less appealing.

    • Would have bought a few bags if I could for free shipping.

    • If you can get a Metro address or a suburb that is serviced by Aramex, then it would be around $13 postage for 3 bags of dog food

      ~Drew

      • Thanks for the info - I'm unfortunately about five km outside metro Melbourne, so I don't think it's going to work. If I was desperate I would get it shipped to a friends house on the other side of the line, but I better stay home…

  • Free pickup in Albury 😉

  • Don't know if they've improved since, but a couple of years ago people were finding mould in Applaws pet food.

    https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-16/plastic-mould-in-dog-…

    • I have done some research on this before, this issue seemed to only affect the Duck & Venison version, which has been discontinued anyway,

We have sold quite a few of this dog food this year and last year and haven't had any issues yet,

I am sure that Applaws methods have vastly improved since this issue has come up in the past,

Many manufactures have issues with their products though its what the manufacturer do to fix the problem that counts,

  • Based on my experience, I can't recommend this stuff.
I got 6 bags in your last posting of this offer, and was very disappointed in the food.
I have used Applaws in limited qty in the past, and still do for some cat food and found it quite good; this stuff however, is an extremely dry crumbly mess.

I have two dogs, one gives me evil looks if it's in his bowl, and has frequently refused to eat it at first, only doing so at the end as he knows there's noting else coming. I gradually added this to their existing diet of raw beef or roo and Ivory Coat kibble, so it was an overnight hard switch.
The other dog, well, he would frequently vomit the food back up several hours after eating, I switched him off this Applaws, issue gone, introduce it again, vomit returns.

To be fair, dogs can be picky. You might just have really picky dogs. I wouldn't discredit the manufacturer just because your dogs don't like it.

      • That would be fair if I hadn't already indicated that one was occasionally refusing to eat = possibly picky (they aren't in general, nor am I, but I will give you the same face if served brussels sprouts).

The vomiting hours after consuming it would not indicate being picky because they consumed it with no issue. It would indicate a reaction to part of this particular Applaws.

I didn't discredit the manufacturer, and I do open my comment being very clear that it is based on my personal experience with 2 dogs.
So the data points of 1 x consumer with 2 x dogs I have offered are very clear, in no way misguiding or claiming to be more than they are.
