China has been marketing low cost
Instrument-learning aids in recent
weeks:
- Electronic Guitar chord trainer
under Au$15, dep'g on length
(Just in time for the OzB deal
of a few months online tng?)
Now, we see 4/4 size Violins
at ~$99 + modest shipping,
if you shop around (<$3)
We've seen similar (if more
Co$tly) "skeleton" basses, eg, at
Folk Festivals, & they sound great.
So, these skeleton fiddles may
interest some folk or would-be
violin students.
Styles + Colours vary.
Prices tend to Rise, so - if you
think it might be worth trying,
this is likely the best time to
order one in.
Let us know if you have any
experience with these or
their locally-available, branded counterparts.
What to look for? Local costs?
Any issues with this class of
"trainer" instrument?
Enjoy!
PS:
The ones we saw on AliExpress
today are mads of wood, come w/
Over-Ear earphones + cases, etc.
Full adult size: 4/4
For the violins, I suggest you look at twosetviolin on youtube. Those $99 violins are the ones that will put you off violins. I personally hate the sound of violin when played by anyone other than a soloist (who usually plays a $10m violin also) so will recommend these $99 for children of friends whom I don't like. ;)
The chord trainer on the other hand is very useful but I am hoping that the frets are similar to the guitar that you use.
Nice find!
