yes the pay online bit sucks …. my son doesn’t have a credit card at his age but has a phone and does eat mc donald’s …..
was the same for $3 big mac, needed to pay online …. so targeted at people who are willing to pay online rather than scan at counter.
i think it’s more mc donald’s trying to train people to pay online than “hey we have a burger deal come into the store” …
Yes and Macca's quarter pounders are tiny…..
Better than a Big Mac because you get a juicier piece of meat and less sugary bread.
I heard these days they only put 0.25 of a pound of meat in each one, what a ripoff.
0.25 pound of meat in quarter pounder is true to its name sense …..they also mention that it’s the unclooked weight ….
1/4 pound = 113grams
I also wonder if it's pumped full of water before making I remember years ago a butcher who used to add I think it was about 1/2 a kilo of ice to 10 kg of the meat when making mince
@iand: This is common even with full cuts like rump, Coles & Safeway are also known offenders
Thanks for the reminder. I got a $2 big mac on mine.
Just realised qtr pounder basically has qtr lb of meat hence the name
And cheeseburger is 1:10th pound (same patty also in Big Mac)
In store the cheeseburger patties are referred to as "10:1" or "ten to one" and the quarter pounders are called "4:1" or "four to one". It must be slightly faster to say it that way.
How are we not yet metric in 2020!?
It's the 113 gramer
They call it Royale with Cheese.
reminds me of the story of one of their competitors in America released the 1/3lb burger it didn't take off because so many Americans thought it was smaller than the 1/4 lb because 3 is smaller than 4
but 3 is smaller than 4….
113g is alot of meat
quick google says whopper is 110g
Why aren't double quarter pounders just called a half pounder?
because you get 2 113gm patties instead of 1 216gm one
Wasn't meant to be taken literally
Macca's mobile app doesn't work anymore.
works for me - i got the $1 fries today.
Good for you.
Tried ordering numerous times in the past week amd each time it was a total failure. The app doesn't see my order when it comes to claiming it.
need to pay online and have credit card details on your account for some of the recent deals , can’t scan at counter or kiosk …
Mine has been very buggy. Often it says I am not close enough even if I am in the Drive Thru.
@Luo18740: Same here, they need to fire their app developer, there's constantly issues with the app! We're forced to use the app to complete orders like this and it doesn't even work. Shocking!
I keep getting the "I can't find the order" when I get there.
McDowells
Mine's offering $3 big mac
That should be the normal price considering how small they are now.
Take out the useless middle bun and it's a better burger but extra small
size has not changed
mine showed that to then updated to this deal
Update: Looks like not available to Victoria.
I'm in Vic and it's in my app
Same here. Also received a $2 big mac today. Should I get $2 big mac or $3 QP? Decisions, decisions…
Why not both?
I got around the '1 promo per order' today.
I had $2 medium coffee, so put the order in for my long black, then while waiting put the order in for the qtr pounder.
Maccas doesn’t let you use their app while jailbroken. Tried every patch but didn’t work. Well it’s their loss 😂 if my app doesn’t work then I don’t go to maccas. Simple is that 😂
I’ve never had a issue use Liberty Lite
Mine says app only order, meaning no ordering in-store
