"spying your children or your lover…."

whoa - i gotta get out more …………

  • Video format: AVI 1280960 / 720480 / 640*480

    960p via interpolation

not really HD and you need 720p for clear numberplate recognition

still, for $30 this is cheaper than DX or ebay mostly

    • Thanks. Title was revised.

  • wonder how's the record quality during night time

    • it has what looks like IR leds on the sides

for $30 delivered i bought one

i think HD ones 3 times as much and seem to be unreliable (go on DX for some funny reviews)… for $30 its worth a shot

  • looks value for the $ plus LCD screen. has it uses. Seems to playback on the spot if necessary.

  • "It will be recording automatically if there is an object movement and stop recording if no movement."

Hmm this doesn't sound too good. If you were trying to record something and the camera thinks there is no movement, it'll shut down.

So if you are filming where you are going and the view doesn't change too much, does this mean the recording will simply stop and start possibly too late, after something happens?

If you are filming yourself or inside the car, like they suggest, for a home video or "like in reality show" … it'll probably cut out often, as people sitting around chatting usually doesn't trigger motion detection :S

I'd have my suspicions about the usefulness of this device, unless you can turn off the motion detection switch.

    • to be fair these are designed to be used in cars and in that respect, it works fine

    • I don't have that specific one, so I can't say for certain, but I do have one similar - and it seems they probably all share the same guts & software underneath (same IR LEDs, same interpolated resolution, etc) and importantly same 'motion detect' mode.

It's a mode where when it's switched off, it will turn on if it detects motion - it's not strictly 'only recording when there's motion'. When it's on, it's on. Mine stays on when the key's in the ignition in ACC or On, ie. when there's power via the cord. And there's a time delay after it detects the ceasing of motion that it stops recording - so you won't miss the exciting part(s) of the video. =P

but longer shipping + money goes to China dealer = not keeping money in Aust.

still waiting for anyone with experience on these…

    • +3

That is a hilarious name for a business.

    • I expect at the end of the day the money is still going to china …

      • better some of it than ALL of it? and Aussie business pay Tax to ATO!

  • LOL promoting the product with some interesting reasons - "Whether it is for your drifting skill (illegal), spying your children (???) or your lover (???)"

    • Yeah, and for anyone who wants to record their drifting, I can tell you from experience it doesn't work too well. Because it's suction mounted to the windscreen - quite far forward on a car, even pushing the back end out 270 degrees of a circle just seems like making a gentle turn on video - because of its 120 degree wide field of view.

  • lol this will be good for more bali dvd/cam movies

  • I got one of these from ebay few weeks back. It's ok so far, does what it says, thoug as pointed out, HD is a bit of a stretch .

  • I believe this is mainly used to capture evidence for when car accidents happens

Might be a "great deal" but how long before you get the damn thing…..

The only time I ordered from these guys is the free Iphone stylus with dust cap

    paid 4/9 shipped 19/9 ——- 15 days to ship

Maybe these guys are in China too.

    • Item located in Melbourne.

      • So rep, if I order one of these today, when will it be sent?

  • Tried two different credit cards but keep getting the error:
"A credit card error has occurred. Please verify your submitted details and resubmit. If this problem persists please contact us."
Will try again tomorrow if I can wake up in time, but looks like I might miss out.

    • Just tried again nearly six hours later, still broken. I tried it with Firefox and IE. No luck, can't puchase anything from you!

      • they probably dont want your money/business :P
