Timestamp Problem - Eufy 2c Wireless 1080p Security Camera System

Looking at my eufyCam base station via the app (time settings), the correct time is displayed (Sydney). However the timestamps on video captures from both cameras shows 10hrs earlier time than what it is set on homebase.

I see there is a timezone setting for homebase to choose but there is nothing to change the timezone from camera.

Firmware is updated, no pending updates.

Any help to fix the timestamps of camera?

Thanks

  • Might be a known issue? http://community.anker.com/t/eufycam-base-station-is-display…

Try their support and see what they say??

  • I had the same problem. Restarting the cameras and homebase didn't fix it. So I changed the time zone on the homebase to another random country and then back to my time zone (South Australia) and it was fixed.

    • Thanks, it fixed my problem too :) Much appreciated.

BTW, is there any setting in app or unit to get the notifications (sound) on mobile when someone (human) enters in the motion zone (which I selected)?

      • The settings are made via the app for individual cameras. If you go to Notification you can select All Alerts, Person Alerts or Facial Alerts. I use All Alerts for my driveway cameras and Person Alerts for my porch camera. You will get sound and visual notifications on your mobile when the cameras detect motion. You can disable notifications on your mobile if you desire.

    • Wow, thanks, you indeed got "Notification" tab but not me.
Can you double check if the device info is different? Also is your firmware current?

You have a later system version and subsystem version than me but when I check it says that my firmware is up to date.
You need to contact eufy support.

        • Thanks Gazza52, so thats exactly I wanted to know, the version difference seems to be issue.
I have contacted eufy support, lets see what they reply, I will share outcome here :)

        • My app version is 1.7.6_618(EU)
          What is yours Gazza52?

        • Edit: Updated app to 1.8.0 and issue resolved. I can see the notification tab now. Thanks for your help.

          • @sunrise12345: Good news! It never occurred to me that it could be the app itself.

            • @[Deactivated]: Eufy Support didn't reply yet, let me send them this solution to add in their repository.

              • @sunrise12345: Great idea. Reminds me of a problem I had with a new Windows 10 PC which I bought 6 months ago. It kept waking from sleep so I spent hours on the phone troubleshooting with HP technical support. Nothing they suggested fixed the issue. I subsequently disabled "allow the mouse to wake the computer from sleep" and haven't had a problem since :)
