I received my free sample from this deal today and on the envelope it had a "more to pay" sticker from Aus Post.
Did anyone else get that and are we expected to now pay the $2.60 it is asking for?

It sounds like the 'underpaid mail' is for the sender and the 'more to pay' is for the receiver.
The remaining postage is supposed to be paid by the sender but if they can't identify the sender, they charge the receiver.
Odd that they actually delivered it, from the article linked it looks like they usually hold it in the post office until the remaining amount is paid.
My thoughts exactly. It seems Aus Post is willing to let this fee go and just wanted to notify that the sender didn't pay for postage.
I had this for a baby shower invite once…
I actually knew what it was and just didn’t collect it because I didn’t want to pay for something that I already had the info for and then a week or two later I got sent a last notice and they removed the fee.
You can safely ignore the sticker.
I received a kitchen knife in the mail once. The eBay seller hadn't put any postage on it at all. I was surprised it was delivered. No return address.
Thanks all, I'll ignore it.
Looks like Aus Post delivered an underpaid mail in good faith.
