Do You Think The 65'' Sony X9000H Will Come down to ~ $1,500?

Hi there

Been looking around, for a new TV and the new Sony X9000H 65" looks like a pretty decent TV. It hasn't been released here yet (coming in August), but looking at the prices on the official Sony US store, the RRP for the X9000H 65" is US$1299, which translates to about $1860.. That's a bit out of my budget of $1.5 k, but do you think it will drop to ~$1.5k during Black Friday or Cyber Monday? Or should I just suck it and buy another TV?

Thanks.

  • Yes.

  • Concentrate and ask again

  • Eventually… maybe even lower than $1500

USD $1299 may not convert to a local shelf price of $1860 either

    • True… but this is rrp not the actual price.

Yes, it is. But what can we do but use our collective knowledge to try and topple this hurdle?

      • Do you think that you could increase your future budget?

        • Maybe, but with all this COVID craziness going on, I'd rather play it safe in case my job comes under fire.

          • @John976: Or could you just sit a bit closer to your future TV?

  • The US price doesn't include state tax so I'd factor in 10% more. I doubt a A$2K+ TV will be under $1500 anytime this year assuming a yearly release cycle. Maybe before the 2021 models come out it will be?

  • Costco is selling it for $2,899. Evidently Sony is not interested to sell any in Australia.

    • At which store? I can't seem to find it on their website.

  • Anyone got this TV? Whats it like for NRL/Sport? GGC is $2100.

    • What is GGC?

        • Do you know what the current GGC price is for this TV? Thanks

  • Have you guys noticed how much the price for the Sony 55" X9000H is fluctuating? I'm sure it started close to $2k, then dropped to like $1750, then it was $1695 until yesterday, and now it's showing as $1795. Does anyone know why the price is jumping around so much?
