Best BBQ<$200

I'm looking for a small good durable gas BBQ for less than $200 …any recommendations?

  • Kmart have a nice 4-burner with hood that is about that price.

I reckon any BBQ needs to be classed as a "disposable item"… there always seems to be a point where it's simply too hard to clean / repair.

Hell - today I saw a great looking large stainless steel one with side burner and hood on the side of the road. I drove home and quickly walked back… intending to snag it (Ozbargain!) and push it home. Found that whilst the Stainless Steel (including burners) was OK, maint other parts including internal the frame was all rusted out. Plus it was filthy and stunk, so the!

The reason I mention the one on the side of the road is because that BBQ would have cost them $700 or so… and it was a throw-away item after only a few years.

  • Mate there is only 1 answer… BUNNINGS.

2 burner bbq for $120~ or ther abouts.

4 burner bbq for $130-140…. no brainer.

  • Just make sure it puts out a lot of heat.. Outdoor cooking is about searing the crap out of things - something that's impractical to do inside.

Roasting with the hood down in a gas barbie is pretty pointless in my opinion - you can get the same results in a domestic oven.
Side burners are a bit of a gimmick too… usually not any hotter than your domestic stovetop.
