How comfortable are they? I was looking for a hiking shoes but always afraid that will be very uncomfortable. Never bought it before so any review will be helpful.
Hiking shoes are definitely a try on before you buy affair. Plus wear socks you are likely to be hiking in or similar.
It takes very little to ruin a hike through the pain of wearing the wrong shoes.
True! Buying shoes online has been a problem for me.
Hoping to get back hiking in the mountains, so looking for a pair of good hiking boots. But have injured my foot & lost a big toenail due to poorly fitting boots.
Just laid out my shoes & boots. None are the same size. From Eu 44 to 46.5. Different brands - different sizes!
My old Scarpa hiking boots were Eu size 45. Had experienced fitter choose them for my feet & use.
Those were often worn with 2 layers of socks (thick sock + liner), so needed to be a bit bigger.Same size in Keens bought online were too short ever with thinnest socks. Couldn't return, as all stock my size was sold.
Timberland Eu46 bought online were huge - need inner soles to pad them out. Whereas Rockport Eu46.5 fit great.
Bought size 44 boots a week ago because were marked down from $200 to $40 @DJs. As city use boots - I'm sure the leather will give a good fit in time with normal socks. Right length, just a little narrow around toes.
Each time I look at this site, boots around my size are disappearing. So any return would mean a credit towards a (dearer) different boot.
Gave up.
For me, would need time to try on first then order.
Most valuable is the GTX one. Great price.
