How to create and keep multiple eBay accounts?

Heya peeps

What's the best way to keep multiple eBay accounts? No one wants the 12% fees so I had multiple accounts and would just wait for the offer of 5x or 10x items without sale fees to come up and go all out, but those accounts keep on getting deleted. And Gumtree only allows 2 free eBay listings per month which is too few.

Those with multiple accounts how do I best go about doing this and maintain those accounts, VPN of some sorts?

Many thanks in advance.

but those accounts keep on getting deleted.

Hmmmm. That is strange. Do they give you a reason why they're doing that?

  • Wouldn't recommend doing that if you don't have to but I thought it's more than just VPN. I think you have to create a separate PayPal account, sign up with a separate phone number, separate email address, different physical address, etc. From what I heard, it goes even further than that. I remember reading on some forum that you might need to use a completely different device/laptop/computer and change your ISP to get different IP address to make and access your new account afterwards.

Otherwise your account will get suspended all the time because it's linked to the another account (which I assume had an issue because you said your new accounts keep getting suspended). eBay knows this because they track the devices you access your account with, their IP addresses, the Paypal account/email address/physical address/phone number registered for each account, etc.

This is something called "eBay stealth accounts" but I never put it into practice myself, I've only read them from some forums and articles on the web.

  • Did you ask eBay: https://www.ebay.com.au/help/policies/identity-policies/mult…?

If you're getting deleted you're doing something dodgy.

    Oh.

  • They would presumably track a lot more than IP address. Are you clearing cookies when changing between accs? That would be a dead giveaway. Other things that could be tracked include payment details, phone number, email, address. Certainly possible to hold multiple accounts but you need to be aware of what's being tracked and ensure these are changed each time. Can be figured out with trial and error.
