Dell G3 3590 out of Stock - Replaced with G3 5500 Model at No Extra Charge!

Hi all,

So I convinced one of my friends to finally purchase a laptop during the Dell ebay laptop sales. He ended up going for this one

He received this email the other day saying that it's gone out of stock but they're replacing it with the high end at no extra charge! He basically got a free $1k upgrade, how awesome is that!?

Did anyone else get the same experience? Dell's message below:

We just received a word from our Head Office that unfortunately, we ran out of stock of the original Dell G3 15 3590 Gaming Laptop you have purchased. We sincerely apologise for this.

For this reason, we would like to offer a replacement item to our GN5ID406AU- New Dell G5 15 Gaming Laptop instead, at no extra cost. Below are is the link of the item:

    but their delivery is VERY slow,
    my all in one arrived like 3 or 4 months or more after order date.

      Yeah I gave him a heads-up that his delivery date will be blown out after he accepts this deal. So far it's showing 1st week of August.. but in reality, for those of us who have gone through the dell experience…. 😅

        I bought a monitor from them and received it 2 days later, I guess that's not normal?

          I'm guessing laptops and desktops are generally made to order while other products are available in local Dell warehouses.

    Yep Dell is pretty good with that. Lots of stories of people getting higher spec monitors because of stocking issues.
