Amazon US Product Pricing on Amazon Australia

Had any one noticed over the past few months pricing for products sold by amazon usa on amazon Australia has noticeably increased?

It used to be that the price on amazon Au was pretty much the price on amazon usa +10% converted into Australian dollars Now there seems to be a further 10% or so price on top of that.

Eg tramontina fry pan 10” is $61AUD on amazon Australia and $35 USD (converts to $55 AUD inc GST)

    I found Amazon AU pricing to fluctuate up n down on certain products.

    The item is on sale on the USA site for $10USD off. It is normally $45USD.

    On current exchange rates that's $64.78AUD.

    This means the .au website is cheaper by about $3AUD.

    To answer your question though; I think prices are more varied because of specials rather than because of any exchange rates rorting.

    Probably still on the old exchange rate!
