All I could find was this for $14.99, but you have to send the phone to them.
yeah, shipping would kill the deal
Thats me
Wouldn't the limited band support make it almost useless for anything else other than Telstra
was thinking of dragging it to Aldi, where some telstra locked phones can be used and some can't.
Aldi SIM doesn't work - phone has to be unlocked
We can unlock it - $14.99 but you need to bring to our store @ Mobile Menia [Toongabbie]
FYI : It works only with other Telstra network sim even after unlocking. It doesn't work with Optus/Vodafone sim.
It works for Boost sim without unlocking.
That's not called unlocking.
Can I play snake on this ?
Since it's not bragging about KaiOS I'd say it safe to assume it's normal old school OS, should have no problem installing a Snake.jar tbh
I'd really like to get a definitive answer for this.
Running Mocor 5-a fork of Android but has no app store,
3G network 850 MHz
4G network FDD 1800(B3), Full APT 700(B28)So, pretty much useless if the VOLTE didn't work.
Not compatible with other two networks 3G network frequency. It doesn't work with Optus/Vodafone network sim. Tested already
Perfect for preventing your child becoming a narcissistic, self centred, digital addict.
Does it work with Aldi?
Just tested, it doesn't.
Woolies Albion park south of Wollongong was selling TELSTRA 4GX PLUS PREPAID MOBILE PHONE for $ 9 runout And few left if anyone in the area
Internal memory 0.256GB.
I'm sure it is 256MB.
That translates to 0.25GB lol, so much for power of 2.so much for power of 2.
GB and MB were redefined circa 1998, to mean the same as "giga" and "mega" in every other type of measurement - powers of 10.
Powers of 2 still exist for computer-related areas, but they have the new names Gibibyte and Mebibyte. The abbreviations are GiB and MiB.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibibyte
Annoyingly, computer HDD manufacturers have been using the "powers of 10" definitions to their advantage for over a decade. A 1TB HDD is 10^12 bytes, not 2^40 bytes. However for computer RAM, 8GB usually means 2^33 bytes, and should more correctly be listed as 8GiB.
The 256MB listed may actually be 256,000,000 bytes.
Just noticed the Telstra Essential Smart 2 4GX $39 @ Big W.
Low stock though.
oh hello.
anyone have an idea how easy/cheap it is to unlock?
