              @Turd: Well yes, I agree with you on that point; if you did manage to snap up one of the most popular sets, you would receive it fairly quickly, but most stuff was sold out in 10 minutes or less.

              To be fair though, Amazon is hardly better in that regard. How many flash sales do they have for Lego that have a total quantity of 5 or 6 units for the sale? Most of their popular deals are gone in 20 minutes or less.

                  @Turd: There also isn't a message saying: "This item will magically restock in 7 hours when it's ass o'clock for Australian customers, then sell out, then restock again when a competitor has this product for the same price, then go out of stock for months, then this cycle will rinse and repeat indefinitely because Amazon is a trillion dollar company that can't find more than 10 items of stock for each sale."

                  I don't like BigW but to say Amazon is an exemplar of excellent sales operations is ludicrous and they're the one running the world's largest e-commerce empire while BigW are an Australian bricks-and-mortar chain. Amazon basically have ShoppingExpress-style, time-limited sales that kick off at some arbitrary, inconvenient time and then end when one Broden has hoarded the measly 10 items of total stock to flog on Scumtree.

      My Fiance has like 100 star wars lego sets and I know plenty more people in their 30's and 40's who love it. My dad just got into it (but the lego dupe versions, and he's in his 60's!) don't feel bad, there's no age limit.
