This one might be as its just a lager like but their pale ale is really good.
I find their pale ale nothing to write home about either - especially for the price. By comparison, for a local beer (for me anyway), Mornington Pale Ale is streets ahead, and cheaper.
I guess it's just a matter of taste then. I make craft beer and live in the area, while I agree the pale is expensive I rate it ahead of Mornington's Pale unless they have changed the recipe. As far as the brewery goes Mornington wins hand down and the pizza's are good as well. Anyway I'm bit off topic here as its the Draught thats the deal. $50 for a slab isn't bad but I would never pay $79 for it.
Anyone here had the other beer on offer today - the Nine Fingers Smoke on the Porter? I'm a fannl of the style, but ummming and ahhhing about whether to pull the trigger on this without having tasted it - could be left with a slab of average (or worse) beer.
i order one slab of it, but no idea what it is.
I've never heard of it either but bought it. Hard to find some dark beers at the local. So thought I'd give a go. I'm sure it's drinkable either way
I think it was worth taking the risk, but yet to taste it. Hope it ships today an hope we all like it.
Pretty average craft beer - well made, but it's pretty much just a high quality and relatively boring lager. It's a venue first, and a brewery an afterthought.
