    "Stacks on!!!"

  • Will be cleared out in no time

    • +2

Hasnt Vic Woolies reintroduced purchase limits? Pretty sure I heard on the news they were.

      • coles limit back on nationwide

      • Yeh 1 pack I thought it was, and on a bunch of other stuff, 2 pack limit on TP and paper towels nationwide.

Looks like it's now 2 for Vic as well, but also 2 pack limit nationwide for online orders of gloves and hand wash.

    • Nah just got back from my local Coles and there was heaps of toilet paper.

      • -2

Fool Coles twice, shame on Coles. It can’t be that hard to rent a few warehouses and stay ahead of the TP panic buying.

        • +6

And then when the panic subsides, be stuck with warehouses full of toilet paper…

        • -1

I have an insider tip that as soon as the pandemic started they did exactly that.

  • +1

Hah, we must have passed each other, I just got home ten mins ago from there!

  • +3

    21.6c per 100 sheets.

    • +11

      That's some shitty maths.

      • Did LOL

      • Even shittier would be 0.6c per shit.

        • Is that 1 sheet per shit? Don't think that would work for me!

  • Got this from a local Coles two weeks ago. Seemed to be store specific at the time.

    • Nah. It was in the catalogue for 24-30 June (page 37 in Tas). Which reminds me that I need to bundle up these old catalogues for the recycling. I remember they didn't have it the loo paper aisle but had it on an end and I couldn't find it on my first visit.

    here we go again

  • +2

Ah yes, the optimal ply number imo.

  • Meh, it's often $14-$16 on Amazon shipped to my door.

    • +6

Cheapest would be $12.50 that I’ve seen these. But woolies has e-gift cards, and not everyone has prime.

      • Just had a look, have 3 orders for this over the past 6 months @ $12.50, $14 and $16. Point taken, for me though Amazon everyday of the week.

        • +2

I too am guilty of having my corridor filled with amazon boxes. But it gives me a source of cardboard to prevent mess when doing some work in the garage.

          • @ATangk: Yet, but still less conspicuous than putting two of these in a trolley at the supermarket.

More of these or invest in molesting myself on a Xiaomi ass-sprinkler?

they call this stuff white fluffy gold

Are Victorians still panic buying TP?

    • +12

No, its just the media trying to cause panic again. Ive seen nothing but full isles of TP past few weeks. My local servo has a pallet literally piled to the roof instore.

      • +2

Visiting the isles of TP? Strange time to take a cruise.

    • +3

I think they decided to act before it happens this time.

      • Agree. My local Woolworths in NSW had placed 2 pallets by the milk fridges.

    • The housos need something to set on fire and chuck out the windows of their locked-down high-rises.

      • 😆😆😆👍
Don’t give them any ideas! 🤫🤧🧯🚒🔥🔥🦠🧻

    • Are Victorians still panic buying TP?

No, they've taken to "Panic Driving" over the border or to other suburbs.

      • "Panic Driving" has always been a thing for Victorians.

        • +1

Look, just because our Premier's wife ran over one cyclist… and she wasn't even panicking, she was just drunk.

  • +2

    costco always 12.99

  • d'oh just did a top up of the cheapie 12x Duvé brand from Aldi. Seemed ok for $5 but would've preferred Quilton.

What my Great Grandparents told me: ohhh I remember the great Gold Rush of the 19th century.

What I will tell my Great Grandkids:
Ohhh I remember the shameless Toilet Paper rush of the 21st century.

    Great Grandkid: LOL! Say what???

    • +3

I remember The Great Toilet Paper Famine of 2020, it was a 'rough' year

  • I'm in Malvern, Coles seemed to have about 70% shelves stocked, I don't think round 2 of bog-roll boogaloo is as bad

    Great post

    • why the neg then?

      • +3

Butt hurt I guess? From using 1 ply

  • +1

Panic buying was last week for like 1 evening last week. There is a surplus of toilet paper everywhere now. Australia is eye balls deep in debt and toilet paper.

  • Get out and spread covid post more vic based deals. Good to see ozbargain moderating stupid vic based deals.
