New Tech Website!

Hi everyone, I have created a short time website: www.trovtech.weebly.com, selling tech products. Just curious how I can promote my new small business? I am only very young so I don't have a large availability of items available so try not to comment anything negative on that. Any advice would be appreciated and you are more than welcome to have a look at the products I have. Thank you!

UPDATE: I might as well just remove it, I obviously am not ready for this type of thing, but I want to thank everyone on the advice.

Get rid of the popup asking customers to signup to your newsletter. After the 3rd popup I moved on from your website

    • thank you

  • "Just curious how I can promote my new small business?"

You should frame shameless promotional spamming as as question here.

    • I was just curious but thanks for your honesty.

Upload proper clear images and don't write 'only a few left' on every item

    • thank you

  • Here are some tips:

    • Get a .com.au domain. This way people will trust you more as they can verify you are a legitimate business and will also help you gain SEO ranking for locality.

    • Try and use other CMS like PrestaShop, Open Cart, Magento, Shopify or WooCommerce
PrestaShop, Open Cart and Magento are open source and shouldn't charge you commission for each transaction which I think Square Space and Weebly does.

    • Create a My Business Page on Google

    • Use Google SEO tools to rank higher.

    • Name your images and use higher quality images.

    • great thank you!

    Some pointers:-

    • You don't own your own website. Being a subdomain on someone else's doesn't build trust.
    • Poor resolution images aren't a good look.
    • Prices are pretty near enough RRP with shipping on top gives no reason to buy here.
    • No ABN details on website to instill confidence.
    • Remove newsletter popup, no one uses that.
    • Contact details is just a hotmail account which is a big no-no.
    • Every product says only a few left which looks odd and feels like dropshipping.
    • There's no delivery details/returns/refunds etc information.

It's a good starting effort but what's your USP? Why should people buy from you and not eBay/Amazon or indeed Aliexpress for the same products for cheaper with customer protection. Have a think about that.

    • very crucial and important points, thank you very much

Exactly; why would I buy an Apple iPad Cover for $95 plus shipping when I can get it from the Apple store for $99 with free shipping?

      • good point thanks

    I am only very young

    This Yours

    • If so then they are at least 10 years old, unless a parent is helping them?!!

    • Lets send stuff to his house, creepy stuff

  • You moniker "GimmeMoney342" sux asschips big time…

  • Website no load.fix that.

    • Your SKUs appear to be unique to your store - not overly negative or positive, but if people search for a product by a manufacturer's code they won't find your store on Google.
    • Unsure how many other stores do it too, but your description (for the Apple iPhone 7 leather case, for example) is copied word-for-word from Officeworks.
    • Whole heap of broken images should be fixed up or removed as selectable options.

Can't comment too much on opening a store, but I think everyone else has covered the important parts

And OP has now disabled their account and webstore …

    • Intrigue… gave up pretty quickly

    • I feel pretty bad… what if OP bought some expensive "how to be rich by dropshipping to suckers!!1" courses and thought he will be rich, and all we did was crush his dreams :(
