Thanks for detailed reply! Good website for dashcams. I was seems to that Viofo has rotatable camera that cam be used for in car as well and yes i would definitely would be getting blackvue but for now it doesn’t suit my needs.
Pity the link is not to an Australian site with Australian prices, otherwise some interesting information available.
The VIOFO A129 Duo has capacitors as well as parking mode. Just installed this model in my car.
I have Viofo A119 V3 which I got from a previous deal and it is preatty good. You can find deals for that in here from time to time.
Ditto but viewing/downloading files by removing sd card and inserting in PC is a pain. I bought my A119 V3 with the GPS module but three months in I had no GPS info. The module was replaced under warranty but didn't fix the issue so they replaced the dashcam. I can't complain about the after sales service.
Viofo looks a great option ill wait for bargain now.
See here for comprehensive reviews https://dashcamtalk.com/ (I think prices are not in AUD)
The ones you can get under $100 are not great, it does the job though.
I have the older version of this VIOFO https://dashcamtalk.com/viofo-a119-v3/
You missed out on this deal from two weeks ago:
Viofo A119 V2 HD Dash Cam with GPS $98.95, Viofo A119 V3 Quad $128.95 (Sold out) + Delivery @ Shopping Square
If I don't already have one, what I want in a dash cam:
- 1080 minimum
- wireless access from your smartphone or cloud storage
- dual camera (front and rear)
- capacitor version preferred for hot summer but I also want parking mode which needs battery :(
My non OzBargain friends swear by BlackVue.
