Creed Aventus 100ml EDP (Tester) - $249.99 + $10.90 Shipping @ OzSale

360

If you know, you know.

Similar to this deal except you get twice as much cologne for even less. Currently going for $409.99 at Chemist Warehouse.

Bottles are testers, which means they come in a plain box, but aside from that it's the real deal. A few people in Facebook fragrance groups have mentioned that this appears to be batch 19s41.

Not a cheap cologne, but a bargain compared to its usual price - and damn it smells fine.

Wait, 249 is half of 289 now?

    I gotta stop drinking.

    • +2

      Oops… Edited.

      So do I.

      • +1

        Haha :)

  • Creed testers don't come with caps so they're probably hocking fakes.

    • Consensus among Aussie fragrance groups on Facebook is that these are real.

EDIT: Just checked some of the group discussions and people are receiving batch 19s41 from OzSale. So far nobody has had any issues.

      • Apart from appearance, what other issues are there from not having a cap? Lose more product to evaporation?

        • Nozzle stops the evaporation, cap protects the nozzle

  • What does it mean by tester? It's been used in store and sprayed a whole bunch of times? or in a display cabinet and its dusty now?

    • Testers are usually bottles made to be used as test bottles in stores - and almost always come without the fancy packaging and in some cases, no cap on the bottle.

      • So you could end up with less than 100ml?

        • Not with these ones - these are unused tester bottles. They would have been produced for testing purposes, but are being sold unused.

  • looks super tacky

    • +2

      that's why you buy cologne

    • looks super tacky

For the better heeled bogan. Kanye probably has this stacked high.

  • +1

I got the silver mountain water one as a Christmas present some years ago. Its bloody nice but i cant bare to use it unless for special occasions.

  • +8

Man people are rich these days!! And here I am using a $20 a bottle Versus Blue Jeans. Poor Me!!

    • -8

Not necessarily rich. Just stupid. Haven't used cologne since I was 20. My life is no different. Doing great

      • +8

That's a dumb thing to say, perhaps you're the stupid one.

What's the point of money other than to provide you with the basics and then with what makes you happy?

If you've got the basics and fragrances make you happy then it's worth spending the money. Everyone has their own things that make them happy.

It's fine to not like what someone else likes, but to call it stupid? That's stupid.

        • +2

Should rephrase. If you can afford it go for it. Stupudity is for those who buy this stuff then eat 2 min noodles for dinner or similar

Also my definition of stupid ppl are good for the economy and ultimately my lifestyle so I should be really encouraging stupidity

          • @gimme: Ah yeah I get you now. Yes I agree.

Hahaha it's people who are bad with their money who let us that are good with it succeed ;)

  • +1

Amazing stuff, best fragrance I’ve used. Lasts a long time and you don’t have to use much.

    • Likewise! I've been using a decant I bought from eBay, and it's hands-down the most instantly appealing scent I've found.

  • So annoying that all the Aussie Fragrance groups are on FB. Either way pretty good deal and great fragrance.

    • Why?

      • +2

I just don't want to sign up to FB just to access the group

        • That's fair - a shame that there's no other active forums.

          • +1

@ngengerous: what about fragrantica? probably the best resource online for colognes/perfumes. their forums are very active too.

            • +1

@Kozhutki: Fragrantica is great for discussion about the actual fragrances, but if you're looking to find deals on new bottles or decants, Facebook is the only way to go here in Aus.

Wow, this stuff must be made from unicorn tears.

Think I'll stick to the true ozbargainers scent.. Lynx Africa.

    • +9

I can smell the Grade 9 school lockers from here…

    • +1

Only when half price of course…

  • +1

    Brut…by Faberge. Thank you kids!

  • +3

Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man

    • I’ve got both and honestly this is almost as good. Use it as a daily scent. Can’t bring myself to use the real stuff now at $2 a squirt

  • +4

Creed clone and only $49.99 at CW

Read reviews in the link. Previous deal for this was posted on OzBargain and many commented was a good cheap alternative. Obviously not 100% same but known to be very close

    • +2

I've got samples of both this and Aventus on me right now - I'd say the Armaf is maybe 80% as good as Aventus. It smells maybe 90% similar after 30 mins or so, but the first spray smells a little more artificial than the real deal.

If you're looking for something to wear day-to-day, I'd say go the Armaf hands-down - but for special occasions or if you've got too much money, reach for the Aventus.

    • -2

      Completely different.

      • -1

If you owned both you wouldn't label them the same. One smells like chemical and cheap, while the the other has either a lot more of a smoke/pineapple vibe.

If you're wearing either in winter, you have zero idea about frags

        • +1

Chemical and cheap and the other one is chemical and expensive. Right?

        • So it smells like pineapple vape?

        • +1

You're right - they're not the same, but they're also not completely different. Granted they do smell quite a bit different on first application - but after the chemical top notes die down, it'll smell pretty damn similar. There's a reason it's 6 times cheaper - but it's definitely not 6 times worse.

    • apparently Afnan Supremacy Silver is a 95% accurate clone at for example $72 delivered, and is a better clone than Armaf CDNI

  • +2

Personally prefer Armani Oud Royal, but this is also great.

  • +1

And if you you don't f#€king know???

    • +1

      You've saved $250+

      • Which you can put towards your $80k investment Audi

  • I have a code for $20 off if anyone needs one. I am not sure if it's attached to my account.

    Code gone now.

    • +1

Looks like a generic $20 off code

      RPG79IZN43XUB4K

  • +1

    I know

  • +3

In the past, 3 things from Ozsale have been fakes… Never again…

  • OOS

  • If Armaf is a good and cheap substitute for Creed, can people please name some other inexpensive substitutes close to the big brands.

    • Armaf seem to be bringing out a few more clones - might be worth googling them.

  • +1

Jeez, $410 for 100ml and i can't even drink it

    • +3

      Lies.

      You can drink anything once

  • Having gone through a few batches of Aventus, I wouldn’t go near that gasoline disguised as cologne from Armaf.

This is a very good deal

  • +1

Eau de Sweat works fine for me. Free and never runs out.

  • Wow, never knew perfume could cost so much

  • Does it protect you from COVID19? At this price it must!!!

  • If anyone snagged one, and decides they dont like it, PM me. (You'll need proof of purchase)

  • +2

Not as cheap as this deal but Kogan have it for $299 free delivery.
Grabbed a bottle myself with afterpay.

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/perfume-warehouse-creed-aventus…

    • +2

I've also ordered a bottle from Kogan, and can confirm that the batch/lot is also S4219S41

      • so it's the real deal?

        • +1

Just got it a few days ago, and if it’s not real then they went to a lot of effort to make it look real!
Smells lovely and makes it through much of the day 👍
