I'm a big fan of the series. Wish I had the $$$ to justify purchasing a headset for the latest release (it certainly would have helped pass the time during quarantine).
I got lucky. I got a brand new Acer WMR headset for $200 from Marketplace and finished Alyx.
Nice! It's a shame they don't sell the Valve Indexes in Oz.
Although, given all the problems they have, it's probably a good thing I don't have one. If I had to fork out 4 figures for that headset and it didn't go the distance, I would be gutted.
I will be just as gutted if HL3 is released only in VR.@scrawny: Yeah Valve Index is great but I haven't used my VR since I finished Alyx. So a VR headset for $1000+ isn't worth it unless you're an avid VR gamer.
If HL3 ever gets released, they can't just release it on VR. They can't do that to their fans. But then again, it's Valve. They always do what they want.
Nice prize - pity it's only open to WA :(
End date: 29/07/2020 at 11:59 PM AWST - is ozbargain clever enough to allow AWST end date btw? or does it get the time relative to the user entering time in their time zone?
