For years we've been able to control our kids' TV time by hiding the remote because the rear buttons on the TV are inaccessible due to a tight fitting cabinet. We are planning to get a second TV but the rear won't be covered this time. Could someone suggest which TV (sub-50") has no or well hidden external buttons please? Thanks.

+1 for this. You can configure Smart Life to send you alerts when the smart plug is turned on or even set a timer countdown to limit screen time.
And then the kids get smart enough to put the smart plug on their table lamps and plug the TV in directly to the socket lmao
My kids aren't small anymore, so they would definitely do this.
Do the parental controls built into most TVs control screen time or only program ratings?
Controlling the kids screen time requires hidden buttons? How about controlling the kids…?
Is there an app for that?

I was having a similar thought recently, but luckily I think my toddler has just grown out of it; he would think it's hilarious/a game to turn off/turn on the TV over and over using the physical side buttons, whilst we were watching.
So. Frustrating.
How about just buying a smart plug? Then you can control (and check) when the TV is powered or not.
