vodafone
Your options are here:
https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/billing/pay
There are no charges mentioned for bpay. All other options indicate charges (either a cc surcharge or a flat fee).
Pay with bpay.
What does it say on the bill about payment methods?
Just use BPAY.
Take your bill paying business elsewhere?
There legally must be a way to be with no fees. It should be on the bill in the payment section as to which one this is. Normally direct deposit and BPAY will be fee free.
but this may be an older people preferred way to pay. in person. over the counter
Then they'll have to pay the $5 for paying over the counter …
This.
And it’s not even $5. It’s $3.19 (incl. GST).
Times have changed, OP. You have free options, you are choosing not to use them, so you have to pay for the privilege of doing it the way you want.
online banking = guaranteed losing your money to fraud. for a old that is.
@ilove: That's ageist and implying that all elderly people are luddites. Maybe you can do your dutiful need as a grandchild and assist your grandparents in paying their bills for them so that they don't have to pay $5 for paying over the counter?
@kerfuffle: He is just saying elderly are more prone to falling for online scams. It's facts. Please stop making everything an offence.
@ilove: You have the answers to your questions. If you aren’t happy, leave Vodafone and find an alternative.
Many bills accept 1 method of payment that is not charged. Usually bpay (not always), sometimes the only option it to set up direct debit. Are you asking about a Vodafone or Telstra bill?
