buy replacement sticks + ifix it kit and replace the sticks yourself?
Personally I've already purchased replacement sticks, so in the event a joy-con starts showing drifting issues I can replace it myself.
$10 and some patience seems a lot better than buying new joy-cons at $120 a pop.
Can you connect them with TV ?
The Switch Lite is meant for handheld gaming only; you cannot connect this version to a TV.

hard mod, yesTeam Xecuter has recently released a hard-mod called "SX-LITE".
With a small bit of soldering work you can run custom firmware (more specifically run SXOS) and get all the benefits of a modded/chipped console.Thanks for this. I ended up getting a second hand 2ds xl instead!
I believe they are on sale @ ebgames for $130 new.
