Ducted Aircon - Daikin Vs Fujitsu

I have been quoted 11500$ for a 15KW Fujitsu ducted AC and 12600$ for a Daikin 16kw ducted AC. MODELS ARE THE FOLLOWING:

Fujitsu Model No: ARTG60LHTA/AOTG60LATT 15.0 (6.2-17.5) kw cooling and 18 (6.2-20.0) heating.

Daikin model number: FDYQ160LBV1/RZQS160AV1 16.0 (7.3 – 16.3) kw cooling and 18.0 (7.3 -18.2) kw) heating

Also Fujitsu would give me a 400$ cash back as well on top of this price…Both includes Airtouch 4 with 6zones and sensors in each. Which should I go with. Daikin seems to be more popular than Fujitsu. But installers say Fujitsu and Daikin are same quality wise.

Confused as to which one to go with.

    Just go with cheapest or if you like see if they can get the Daikin price to maych including the extra $400. Doubt though they will. We have haf a Daikin. No issues.

    Have purchased many Aircons over the years (and they are used 24/7 in the tropics), Daikin has persistently performed better with less maintenance and is the only brand that has lasted 12 years (so far) without replacement (Fujitsu's were replaced at 7 years with compressor failure, Panasonic at 5 years, old Sharps lasted 3 years, Mitsubishi - non Heavy Industries - lasted 5 years) - just my anecdotal expereience so far (and no experience with the exact models you mention!) :P

    I am in the industry - daikin is better IMO

    I've got 6 Fujitsu splits that have lasted 10+ years (prior owner installed them) but a newer one I bought is noisier and doesn't fill me with confidence that it will last as long. I won;t be choosing Fujitsu when others fail - more likely Daikin/Panasonic/Mitsubishi Electric.

    Question for those in the trade - I see most manufacturers use the same compressor unit for a number of output ratings eg. 7.1kW and 8.1kW models both use the same outdoor compressor. I assume it's best to get the lower output version of the larger compressor than the higher output version of the smaller compressor?

    We've had a Daikin 10 outlet ducted for 14 years, no problems at all.

    Daikin makes the best machine, no doubt. But their controllers/app etc are meh! Should be ok since you are going with Airtouch
