i am very curious of its small diameter dynamic driver's performance… review looks positive. https://www.amazon.com.au/Final-Audio-Design-Resolution-Head…

I would be careful buying earphones from someone who sells them as headphones

It's just marketing. And this is a product that they're trying to sell into mass-market.

Many (most?) people use the term headphone and earbuds/earphones interchangeably.

Seriously, what is the common name for that 3.5mm analogue jack on phones and portable audio gear? 'Audio out'? Maybe. 'Headphone port' or 'headphone jack'. Yep.

And I think 99.7363% of people looking at these won't realise they are actually in-ear monitors (IEMs) and not earbuds.

These are generally regarded as budget IEMs that punch well-above their weight for sound quality, despite their lightweight - almost toylike - feel.

Recently bought the E2000 for just $2 less, and that was a bargain.

  • Was tempted by these recently, and they're pretty good for the price points, but if you're happy to go learn about Chi-Fi, you'll get way more value for your money there. Some quick examples are the Blon BL-03, the Tin T2, the KBEar Diamond and the Moondrop Starfield, $30, $50, $80 and $130 respectively when AliE sales are on (after coupons and cashbacks).

For those who want to stick with this, the E2000 is flat, the E3000 is a warmer version of that. Both are well regarded for their timbre and signature at the price point, but don't expect amazing detail.

    • I've got a pair of tin 2 and always looking for alternatives. How does this compare, obviously these are cheaper.

      • +1

With the E3000, you'll be trading the highs and the clarity for probably a more fun experience in the mids, and more natural timbre. The T2 is a bright-leaning neutral earphone.

If you're looking for a natural timbre on a budget, have a look at the Blon BL-03 via an AliE sale. If you're looking for a serious upgrade with a neutral signature, have a look at the Moondrop Starfield.

If you're looking for more of the same with a smoother, more neutral presentation, maybe look into the Tin T2 Plus (not the Tin T2 Pro).
