  All retailers put pressure on suppliers to lower prices.

  Suppliers don't care - do you REALLY think that (say) Toshiba cares if people buy from Australia or from Asia? They make the same profit irrespective.

    Take it another way. If out of two products, one drops the price, second one will loose market here and will drop the prices.
