Replace Phone Screen - Anyone experienced issues

Hi all

I dropped my Redmi Note 5 a while ago and attempted to fix the screen myself. The LCD from Aliexpress fitted quite well but I noticed a huge decrease in screen brightness.

Has anyone had their screen replaced or replaced it themselves and experienced problems later on? Do you think its because the replacement screen is just not as good as the OEM? Or does disassembling the phone, removing cables, screws, tape and glue cause other issues?

Please also share your experiences with your own phone repairs and how that turned out.

    Your replacement screen just isn't as bright prob.

    Have replaced numerous screens on various iPhones. If there was ever an issue, it was always evident upon installation. It would appear that the quality of the screen utilised simply isn't as bright as the OEM screen you are used to. Not entirely unexpected.

    If it said original, then you better go and ask the seller.

    It's probably a poor quality screen or the OS needs to be calibrated with new screens.
