  • Try looking in the ewaste bins in Mitchell ewaste dump in Canberra.

  • looking for old laptop batteries

just buy a 'new' power tool battery from aliexpress and you'll find it stuffed full of old 18650's.

    • Do you any know batteries with known cells Links preferred.

  • How many 18650 batteries are you looking for? Any other particular requirements? Capacity or usage?

    • I'm mainly looking for name brand cells excluding Sanyo. Mainly 2000mah plus and min 5amp discharge.

  • There was a good deal for 18650s recently.

  • I remember some guy on OzBargain said that Aldi rechargable tool batteries are always filled with 18650 batteries inside, so he buys them and takes it apart for himself.
Can't find the post, but just an idea to get you going.

I've purchased 18650 Batteries from Tech Around You, a few years ago.

They have Samsung 25R for $11.99 each ($7 each when you purchase 10 or more)

    • Yep can vouch for these guys, purchased a bunch from their ebay store.
Also I think that might be a typo for the 25R, it's that price for a pair on their ebay.

I've also bought some from these guys. No complaints.

      • Can also vouch for that eBay Store. I've personally purchased some Panasonic/Sanyo 18650 from there before.

Only remember the store, because of the Word Art "Aus Seller"
