          One word, Excise. It's the main reason why Spirits are more expensive in Australia.

          I'm not sure of all the taxes, but I calculate the excise to be $44.66 + about $13.90 GST

    I'm no whisky connoisseur but this is rough compared to glenlivet 18 or glenfiddich extremely rare.
