    • My bad fellas, I posted in wrong deal :)

Is anyone else currently getting a banner at the top of the main app screen advising "Enjoy 50% off (up to $20)"? Clicking that takes me through to the promotions tab, showing said promo. Reading the details advises to find valid restaurants you "search for a participating restaurant by clicking the in-app billboard", yet as stated this only takes you into your Promotions tab. Any ideas?

    • Yes, you need to go to your email to find the code

      • I've never received an Uber promo code via email. I wonder if I have turned promos off…

        • the code should work

        • Me neither! Looked and couldnt find an option for promos on/off.

    • Same issue.
I can't figure out what the participating restaurants are and I can't apply the promotion to my order. The 'Apply' button is greyed out. Anyone figure it out?

    Got the offer, thanks!

    • +1

  • Got it, thanks!

  • How can I see the participating restaurants?

  • :( I received this but i'm regional WA 400km away from the city.. no uber eats for me!

50% off your next delivery or pickup order from participating restaurants. Expiry June 27. Max $20 off for the first 50,000 users.

    • I could add it but couldn't use it because it said

      Expires Jun 26, 2020 4pm

  • Ended up being a 33% discount for me because of the higher prices on Uber eats. Still a great deal thanks!

  • Doesn't work

über is a horrible service and trying to navigate the site was almost worth calling the restaurant directly. I only ordered through them as they are paying for half of it! three accounts only one was targeted.

I stopped using UberEats, Menulog + Doordash for about 2 months. Saved quite a bit of money in doing so, got reacquainted with cooking which is great + also eating healthier. I recently got the Westpac $20 off $30 Ubereats promo which I may use though.

'You've scored a promo for up to 50% off'. Delivery fee applies. Max $20 off - so 50% off if you spend exactly $20 and pay for delivery? Promotion expires 11:59pm (AWST) 30/06/2020 - (so about 3 or 4 days?). Big effing deal!
Limited to intended users only - judging from above, it works for about half of those who tried to - however that's decided!
Uber Eats will cover the 50% off, so you'll be supporting your local restaurants with your order.

These deals seem to me to be UberE trying to offset the very negative press they have been getting about their up to 35% fee for restaurants/cafes. I know Uber meet overheads like delivery - but this is partly offset by paying delivery people as little as they can get away with (don't ask what these people would do instead - the hard-working ones get, I've read, about $7 an hour).
I extol you to order directly from the local restaurant instead and let them organise delivery or pick it up yourself if that's feasible. Many restaurants/cafes in my area (eastern Suburbs Sydney) thank people profusely for doing either of these, and even offer discounts when you do.
I do use Uber sometimes for 'taxi trips', but less so, as their prices are often higher than taxi prices now they're established (though I thank Uber for forcing the taxi companies to get real about their prices - even if most of their booking systems are still primitive).

  • both my accounts got it which was great timing since maccas stopped doing the 2 extra value meals for $8 on saturdays.
