I spotted these because I like over-the-ear 'phones. Easy to push to one side if someone wants to speak with you. Looks doesn't bother me much.
Personally don't favour the in-ear ones much, especially stick-into-your-ear-canal types - fear of getting fluff/stuff into ear, ear wax…
To me any 'brand name' NC head or ear phones under $40 is a good price. Can't justify the cost of the Bose and Sennheiser ones, as good as they are.
