Rusty Yak Ginger Beer 4 × 6 × 330mL Cans

Haven't had it before but good ratings on Kogan and Dan Murphys

Yep, let the sediment settle at the top of the can, then invert to spread throughout just before drinking
FWIW, found this comment on Untapp'd (don't know how accurate it is):
David B. is drinking a Rusty Yak by Matilda Bay Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
"Hugely disappointed. Easy to drink, yes, but from the ingredients list, it is just soft drink with alcohol added. Def's won't but again. Give me a genuine brewed ginger beer any day."

IIRC this and Matso's Ginger Beer are both made using a wine base so they aren't technically brewed ginger beer. Could be wrong though.
Yeh, 100%.. The upside-down gimmick got me, but it's definitely not brewed. Best case they put some ginger in it as a token gesture.
Does it taste ok, though?
@caprimulgus: Yeh, it's "ok". Wouldn't be my first choice though. Crabbies or Stones imo.
Thanks I didn't know this. Funny thing is my wife has tried every ginger beer that Dan's have on special each month and this and matso's are her favs.
Unsure on the Matsos because I don't have one, but the Rusty yak/brookvale aren't wine based. They attract the RTD tax not WET. So it'll be a spirit.
Ginger Yowie is a brewed ginger beer but personally I prefer rusty/brookvale/squires
Yum! Though have no space for this many lol
How does it compare to brookvale union ginger beer?
if you like Bundaberg Ginger Beer, go for Brookvale Union
if you like Cascade Ginger Beer, go for Rusty Yak
I always thought Crabbies was close to Bundy. Then again I haven't had one in a while and it was the first I tried.
Just buy a bottle of Stones Ginger Wine… and top up any stubby to give that warm winter comfort drink. A dash is all you need.
Good deal, I quite like this one. Interesting storage, you are supposed to store in upside down.
