Photobook Australia Stardeals by Groupon Bargain update

Just thought to update on this deal as commenting on it has closed

I got the voucher but forgot about it and ended up using it on last day of expiry! needless to say, did a hurried job in book layout by quickly (2 hours) organising a collection of recipes (handwritten notes from my sister). Left a few empty pages in the end for adding more recipes later (and also cuz I ran out of time!). Added some pics of my sis and niece and had it made as a gift for my niece as she's getting married next month. Had to pay extra $18 for delivery.

The 11x8.5 Medium Landscape Guest Book with slipcase came in 2day and was sooo much better than I expected! It looks like I've spend months working on it! the binding is really good and the paper quality is quite reasonable. the pics and notes printed out as good as my scans. I had used gold colored patterns on the cover and background of the pages and they came out very well. The slipcase (I got one in Gold color) is quite nice and makes the book look quite elegant. The delivery came from malaysia via DHL but was quick (I ordered the book on Oct 1st and it got delivered Oct 10th).

Would love to use Photobook Australia again, but only with similar vouchers.

TIP : I found using Photoscape software (free on the net) to edit and merge pics as a page and then just adding each page in Photobook software made life a lot easier.

  • sounds good. :)

  • Thanks for that. It's good to have some feedback on the quality of the various photo books. I'd never given any thought to their (possible lack of) quality until I came accross one of Target's 'display' models that was falling apart.

    • +1

To be fair though, the average Target display model will probably be opened thousands of times more often than any book you print for use in your home. It's not a good advertisement for the quality when it's falling apart, but it might also be legitimate wear and tear.

      • Good point, I guess. I hadn't thought about someone letting their little darling swing it around a bit.

  • Photo printing services are perhaps the only group buy thing we have not seen compaints about on Ozbargain.
