Hi All,
First time poster here so please go easy.
Seen a couple of posts for TV's however not exactly what I'm looking for.
Sale season around the corner topped with COVID 19 so assuming deals could be juicy this time around.
Currently looking for a 65in TV (and only this size), and have done quite a number of research on the following:
Samsung 65RU8000 QLED 2019. Although 2019 model, reviews state it being better than the 2020 TU8000 model. It has gone as cheap as under 1.2k with QLED tech.
Hisense 65R8 2019. Overall good TV however, reviews showing connection and system issues. Number of complaints also appear quite high.
TCL 65C715 QLED 2020. Newly released and strong specs compared to the 2 above. Ratings also higher than the above 2. However, haven't yet seen one yet in store to really see how it really is. TCL seems to also be a new competing against the higher brands with great bang for buck.
Sony 65X8500 2019. Strong backed company by numerous reviews. Overall good specs however, I have extremely bright sunlight in my lounge which isn't great for this TV - As i've read.
I'm leaning towards the Samsung due to price and overall specs are compelling although some may disagree with QLED tech. OLED is out of my budget. TCL comes seconds but no good reviews out yet.
What is everyone's recommendations? Or are there other TV's i'm missing out in currently or future releases?
Thanks in advance!
I've got the Hisense P8 and it's been solid. I believe the R8 is equivalent to the P6 so Q8 would be a more equivalent model. I managed to get it at an end of life sale for around $1100. So my take away is look into the Q8 instead of R8 and wait patiently.
If you're playing games response times should be considered.
