Thinking of getting my dad a Samsung galaxy A20 but he needs to use GPS on it so wonder if it is worth the risk of purchasing one. If it has GPS problems how likely is shop to take back?

When you turn on google maps it takes a min or two for A20 to connect with a GPS Signal as compared to S10 which takes couple of secs. Other than that its NFC is flawless.
Yep, sometimes in Google Maps my location will track on the route selector but not in the navigation mode. Reboot doesn't seem to fix it - usually I just wait a long time and it'll eventually work.
Decided not to get this as it will be for my dad and as a 70 year old needs to work or else too much hassle for him. Will look in to alternative. Thanks for feedback guys.
I've owned an A20 for 8 months and will not rely on the GPS. It fails more often than it works. My A20 is the Vodafone version which has been unlocked by foneshop. Otherwise the phone is excellent (for the price).
I agree, it’s a brilliant phone for those that don’t need a gps.
No GPS problems for me but I did have Bluetooth connectivity issues like music dropping out and Tile devices not working properly even though the tracker is 1cm away from the device. But have not tested out the GPS with the Android 10 update since I'm using the S20 Ultra now.
