This is warm white 2700k only

    • All updated. Thanks.

  • Thanks OP, got two of the A60 B22s for bedside lamps. Too lazy to go to local so purchased from Amazon

  • 1000 lm for ikea ones imo are better.

    • Ikea one need some sort of hub? Or can be controller purely by app?

      • What is the product name?

        • +2

i think its their tradfri range

          • @tobi3421: Thanks mate, this seems to be a good price, https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/tradfri-led-bulb-e27-1000-lumen…

but they seem to be ZigBee not WiFi, so hub or their remote is needed.

            • @bazingaa: imo, a hub design implementation is so much better when you are intending to replace majority of the bulbs in your house and integrate with other accessories like motion sensors and switches. it's easier on the IP addresss pool and basic level home routers/network equipment.

              • @slowmo: I may be wrong, but I saw somewhere some time ago that newer version of LIFX support bulbs talking to each other to create a mesh network. Extending range, and reducing load on router. Couldn't find any any solid info on their website though.

  • Careful of Lifx if you have a ubiquiti network. They dont play nice with it.

    • +2

They work fine with Unifi networks at two of my sites

    • +3

They work great with my unifi AP Pro's and USG

    • +1

They're just randomly flaky on wifi. LIFX blame the customers router. It is known.

    • Do you have your unifi WAPs power setting on Auto? That fixed my lifx bulb signal issues.

    • Only issue I have had with LIFX and ubiquiti was that I had the 2.4ghz and 5ghz SSID seperate. That created pain when adding a light, but other than that I had no issue with them.

    • I have tweaked my network to the wazoo. Seperated out my SSIDs, adjusted the broadcast radio power, turned off airtime fairness. I have other smart devices in my house and its the Lifx is the only one causing issues. I fixed it by kicking the Lifx's to my modems SSID (Im on 5G and the Nokia modem you cant put into bridge mode).

    • I have a USG, 8-port POE switch, Cloud Key and 2 AP-AC-PROs. I have a ton of LIFX lights and they're absolutely rock solid. They are on their own 2.4GHz-only SSID and I've locked all their IP addresses via DHCP.

      • Yep I wish this wasnt an issue but no idea why. Other people with Uibquiti gear have also noticed this issue. Im not sure if its because my home network is on a 192.168.2.x subnet as my Nokia Modem has the 192.168.1.X subnet.

  • Ordered these bulbs from a previous deal, they are really good. iOS app is simple and easy to use. I have LIFX as well but RGB version. But feel like they are costly compared to "Connect Smart" bulbs.

  • Can you have them on a dimmable Switch?

I want to put 2 on a dimmable Switch, but I’ve kinda read that don’t dim his the switch but they will work on it if it’s on full. Safe or should I be replacing the switch to use them

    • +1

No you can't. You dim these with their app, not the wall switch.

      • Can it be still used on a dim switch?

        • Most likely

        • No. If you operate the dimmer you could definitely cause problems. They must not be on a dimmer.

          • @rkeniger: Ok thanks so I will need to replace dimmer switch to standard one before installing them

  • Are there lamps in bunnings to support these bulbs?

  • Went to Bunnings in search of these, found 4 pack mini color for $99, Townsville QLD store.
Was an expired deal hand written, scanned at $130.50 but managed to get discounted to 99. Only problem half the packs had the wrong bulb type on the packaging ie E27 in B22 box - the sticker on the bottom was correct, not the sides.

  • awesome! hope small simple ones are not too water sensitive! just needed to replace older ones in the bathroom

  • Sorry forgot to ask
Can these lights be used as a normal light? In other words turning it in and off by the wall? I was thinking about putting one in my daughters room for her to use as a normal light but when she leaves the light on I can just turn it off by asking Siri rather then going all the way to her room to do it.

    • Absolutely.

      • Ahh that’s good to know, was hoping this would be the case without causing any damage to it

        • In fact, just like the bigger A19, etc, double flicking the switch will set it to bright white, so if it’s set to say 5% on the app, and you can’t be bothered with your phone making it bright again, you can simply double flick the light switch.

          • @2025: Ahh cool

Are they always this price now of just on sale and if so does anyone know when this deal expires?
