Has anyone used the Tamron 150-600mm g2? Just looking for some feedback regarding its performance and image quality.

That is a poor generalisation. Which was the last super zoom that you have used?
And how is it the image quality poor? The last one I owned was a 100-400lii. It's a true generalisation. You can't make everything great at all focal lengths, otherwise primes wouldn't exist. Canon (and I assume Nikon) high end lenses at least have good af and stabilisation. Looking at dxomark pretty much confirms what I said.
What are you using it for? Bird watching?
That's the idea.
Canon? 100-400lii and teleconverter? Or even a 100-400li would probably be better, at least the autofocus would be spot on.
I have not used the Tamron but I have used the Sigma in a Nikon mount. 150-600mm “Sports”
Nice, lens, decent AF with a camera with decent ad module. Image quality is better then the 50-500mm or 150-500mm. The downside is the weight. It is a heavy lens
Any superzoom will have relatively poor image quality.
