Astounding Multi-Dimensional Sound
LS50 Wireless delivers a clear, accurate and transparent sound that creates an intense, rich, and multi-dimensional soundstage experience. Made possible from its small enclosures through expert acoustic design and state-of-the-art technologies.

Crossover Timing Correction
High and low frequencies should hit your ears at exactly the right time. This perfect time alignment was only an ideal case in theory previously, and perfectly accurate sound could only be experienced within a small 'sweet spot'. With LS50 Wireless’ advanced time correcting DSP crossover and the unique sound dispersion abilities of Uni-Q, time corrected accurate sound can be achieved in different types of rooms. This is a feat that cannot be reproduced by any other active speaker.

Audiophile Grade System Configuration
Audiophile-grade sound means audiophile-grade technologies. LS50 Wireless delivers this with an array of sophisticated components built in. Through expert audio engineering, LS50 Wireless includes an end-to-end 192kHz/24-bit high-resolution digital signal path, dedicated DAC per channel, streaming pre-amplifier, and a 230-watt x2 amplification in a bi-amp dual mono configuration. All factory-optimised.

This is my first posting, easy on me, though its not the cheapest price historically, but it is cheaper than current price elsewhere.
May be this is not for everyone.

Ohh crap. Just bought the LSX a few weeks back for the office. I love them so much i'm going to have to get their big brothers now at this price..

    • +1

I started with the LS50W first then picked up the LSX for the kitchen :P

  • got it thanks OP

Nice! Wish it was in white though.

    • Dat racist

    • Already got the LSX but would have jumped on this deal if it was in White. It looks so much better.

  • I am not sure Addicted to audio do price match on this

  • +1

PS. you can also get the LS50w's and the matching stands included for $2950 delivered which is an even better bargain!

    • Agreed.

  • Dedicated DAC per channel? Whaaaa?

  • +1

    This or Yamaha soundbar?

    • +5

      This times 1,000,000

  • Recently got the q350s, I can only imagine how good these sound.

I read that the LSX are superior for near-field listening (for example on your PC desk). Anyone heard both speakers care to comment?

    • +1

      I also read this, somewhere.
      Comment said something like:
“LS50W was too powerful for near-field listening, needs room to breath etc, ended up with LSX’s”

    • LS50W on a desk would be insane.

I actually use the LS50 on mine but only off a TEAC DAC/Amp with a small subwoofer.

These are in my living room and really benefit from the space.

LSX are ideal for high end audio on a desk.

  • Are these speakers for movies or music .Also can it be connected to a projector with hdmi .If any one knows, would like your insight

Kef is best for music, if you want it for movies just get a good soundbar

      • +2

Soundbar for movies, no no no

I’ve got KEFs for movies. T series. Would never recommend a soundbar. In fact, people are better off with a great stereo pair than a soundbar

        • -2

Some soundbars are really good. My Philips Fidelio is great, it got 5 stars from whathifi

          • +2

@mlburnian: Having Auditioned plenty of speakers it is my opinion that sound bars are primarily for budget/aesthetics/ease of placement.

I doubt that Phillips sounds as good as the Kefs - caveat - I’ve not heard the Phillips, my assertion is based on general experience.

Also, What hifi are into audiophile voodoo (e.g. “speaker wire x makes the sound cleaner, more precise, more visceral”). I wouldn’t trust anything they have to say. In fact the difficult thing about audio reviews is that every man and his dog says of most things stuff like “punching above their weight for the price”. They won’t be getting promos/early access/free gear/advertising if they crap on a product.

@DevGuy: You have pretty much hit it on the head here. I'm a professional AV installer and play with all levels of systems, soundbars, etc every day. If you want tidy, no mess, low visual impact, better sound than a TV, buy a soundbar. If you want decent sound, buy a receiver and separate speakers which will be big, look ugly and need cables. Probably 95% of the population will hear a typical soundbar and think it sounds fantastic. Yes, it might have nice clear treble or prominent bass (ie: overly loud and boomy..), and to them it sounds great and they are happy. To me, it almost makes my ears bleed, but i just keep my mouth shut ;). If you want to hear the sound as it was intended with accuracy, detail and soundstage don't get a soundbar. Just get a good 2.1 ch system with proper full range speakers and it will blow any price level of soundbar away.

          • @mlburnian: WhatHifi I believe gave these the best product of the year….

    • No HDMI input option

    • This supports 2.0 only and no Dolby.

      • Love the internet circle jerks, same thing with SUVs, they get a lot of hate, but they get more and more popular. A good soundbar is an excellent compromise for ppl who don't want a 5.1

  • they really worth that $$$ ?

If you have to ask that Q, then your shopping in the wrong market segment. These are audiophile grade speakers, not the Home Theatre stuff you pickup from JB HiFi. In their market segment, these speakers are incredibly good value, but typically only for the people who really appreciate it.

  • One thing that bothers me with these is that they only come with a 1 year warranty. It's an expensive product with complicated internal electronics. They really should do better. The SVS subs I got (same thing.. internal amps, electronics) come with 5 years warranty. It doesn't instil a lot of confidence if the manufacturer themselves don't have it in their own product.

    • This is so true and such an important point. Such expensive, complex audio gear should at least have 3 years warranty.

  • Offer is expired, wondering how to make it expired
